Maidenhead is a highly sought after locality, given its close proximity to the River Thames and Windsor. A home close to the River Thames is the ultimate dream come true for any ambitious home owner.
What’s more, Maidenhead Station is a quick under half-mile walk, offering direct services to London Paddington in just 19 minutes. The station happens to be part of the Crossrail Expansion Project – the visionary new railway connecting the city to the South East. Completion is expected by 2019.
Convenient travelling is a regular part of the city’s infrastructure: junction 8/9 of the M4 is a little over two miles away, linking up with the M25 and national motorway network.
The city boasts popular High Street names, including independent and specialist stores – something that would leave any shopper yearning for more. Madenhead’s regular markets include a farmers’ and continental market as well as unforgettable arts markets, catering to those who have a taste for the finer things in life.
The Odeon cinema is famous all over town for screening the latest Hollywood blockbusters, while lesser known films are screened at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts.
In the neighbouring locality is Bray Village – home to two 3-Michelin-starred restaurants – Alain Roux's Waterside Inn and Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck. Tom Kerridge's two-Michelin-starred pub, The Hand and Flowers, is located in nearby Marlow. Needless to say, you’ll never run out of great places to dine or drink.
Other nearby amenities include large open spaces such as Kidwells Park, Grenfell Park and Braywick Nature Centre.
